What is image metadata?
Images can include EXIF information such as camera model, capture time, and sometimes GPS location. This information may be embedded in the file.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. The image is decoded and re-encoded in your browser. The original file stays on your device.
Will my image quality change?
It can. To remove embedded metadata, this tool re-encodes the image. JPEG and WebP are exported at high quality, but the resulting file is not byte-for-byte identical. Color profiles and animation may also be lost.
Which formats are supported?
JPG, PNG, and static WebP files up to 20 MB. Animated images are not preserved as animations.
